CHARMtint respects your privacy. This information explains how the photo you voluntarily upload using the CHARMtint.lt “Find Your Shade” feature is processed.

1. What is the uploaded photo used for?

The uploaded photo is used solely to analyze visual characteristics necessary to provide a CHARMtint shade recommendation.

Based on the information visible in the photo, the system provides a recommendation for one of the CHARMtint shades.

This feature is not intended to identify or verify your identity.

The photo is not used for facial recognition in the sense of identity verification and is not compared with personal data databases to identify a specific individual.

2. What information do we process?

When using the “Find Your Shade” feature, the following may be processed:

  • Your selected and uploaded photo;

  • technical information necessary for the function to operate;

  • automatically generated recommended CHARMtint shade;

  • technical information about query execution, errors, or system performance.

Please do not upload photos containing other individuals if you do not have the right to provide them.

3. How is the photo analyzed?

Once a photo is selected, it is prepared in your web browser and transmitted to the CHARMtint technological infrastructure, where analysis is performed, and a shade recommendation is generated.

Our cloud, hosting, artificial intelligence, or other technology service providers may be used for analysis.

Such service providers may process data only to the extent necessary to provide their service, in accordance with their contractual and data protection terms.

4. Do we store your photo?

CHARMtint does not collect photos for the purposes of creating customer profiles, marketing databases, or shade recommendation history.

The uploaded photo is used for a specific shade recommendation.

During the operation of the service, technical service providers may temporarily process data on their infrastructure to the extent necessary to fulfill the request, ensure security, system operation, or comply with legal obligations.

CHARMtint does not intend to use uploaded photos for other purposes unrelated to the user's chosen shade selection feature.

5. Is the photo used for advertising?

No.

The uploaded photo is not used for:

  • creating personalized advertisements;

  • creating Meta, Google, or other advertising audiences;

  • creating a personal marketing profile;

  • identifying an individual;

  • public dissemination;

  • selling to third parties.

6. Automated recommendation

The result provided by “Find Your Shade” is an automated cosmetic shade recommendation.

It is advisory in nature and does not cause you legal or similarly significant consequences.

The accuracy of the recommendation may be influenced by:

  • lighting;

  • photo quality;

  • camera settings;

  • filters;

  • skin and hair color representation on screen;

  • existing cosmetic makeup or eyebrow tinting.

Therefore, the recommendation is not a guarantee that the final product result will be identical to what is seen on screen or provided by the system.

7. Uploading a photo is voluntary

It is not mandatory to use the photo analysis function to purchase a CHARMtint product.

You can choose a shade independently without using the “Find Your Shade” feature.

By uploading a photo, you consciously choose to use this feature and allow the photo to be processed to the extent necessary to provide a shade recommendation.

8. Third-party services

CHARMtint.lt uses technology service providers for its operation.

For the infrastructure of the photo analysis function, cloud and hosting technologies, including Vercel infrastructure, are currently used.

Other technological platforms, including GitHub, may also be used for website development, version management, and technical administration.

When necessary for shade analysis, information may also be transmitted to the technology or artificial intelligence service provider performing the analysis.

Such service providers operate under their data protection, security, and data processing terms and, where applicable, concluded data processing agreements.

9. Data transfer outside the European Economic Area

Some of our technology service providers or their infrastructure may be located outside the European Economic Area.

In such cases, data transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards provided for under the GDPR, where required, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other legitimate transfer mechanisms.

10. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data transmitted via CHARMtint.lt from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse.

However, no system for transmitting data over the internet can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to:

  • receive information about the processing of your personal data;

  • request access to processed personal data;

  • request their rectification;

  • in certain cases, request their erasure;

  • request restriction of their processing;

  • object to certain data processing;

  • withdraw consent given when data is processed based on consent;

  • lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

12. Minors

The “Find Your Shade” feature is not specifically designed to collect personal data from children.

If, under applicable laws, the user cannot independently give valid consent for the respective personal data processing due to their age, the feature should only be used with the consent of a legal representative, where such consent is necessary.

13. Changes to Privacy Information

As we improve CHARMtint.lt and the “Find Your Shade” feature, we may change the technologies or service providers used.

Accordingly, this information may be updated periodically.

The latest version of the document is always published on CHARMtint.lt.
